Digital Lincs was struggling with inefficient internal processes and a disjointed user experience across its platform, leading to slow task completion and user frustration.

I conducted user research and collaborated with internal teams to streamline the workflow and improve the platform’s usability. I created wireframes and prototypes, focusing on simplifying the interface and optimizing user journeys for efficiency and clarity.

The redesign resulted in a 40% increase in task completion speed, reduced user friction, and significantly improved internal process alignment.

Talking to the company Digital LinCS on how medical clinics, nationwide, struggle to serve marginalized patients in need. Digital LinCS highlighted how these clinics are dependent on outdated assistance programs. Due to these dependencies, patients, as well as physicians and social workers, have to jump through several unnecessary hoops to gain access to the receiving and distribution of HIV medication.
This is a systemic issue for underprivileged communities and a huge lost opportunity for clinics, physicians, and social workers who are trying their best to make an impact in these spaces.

The opportunity we saw was that, if we replace this outdated manual service with an electronic, automated solution(an app) we’d be able to serve a much greater number of patients by reducing drop off-rates due to accessibility issues and human-error.

The design system created is a living & breathing component library informed by an atomic design structure. These decoupled components support the ongoing growth of a more sustainable UI for the app while keeping a human-centered approach.
As a contractor for this project, the developers at Digital LinCS were able to maintain quality assurance by adhering to the design standards set till they hired another designer.

Created a tool operating as a bridge to connect medical clinics, clinic case-workers, government program admins, and patients together. This new service improves time efficiency, reduces human error, and increases patient volume for everyone involved.
Ultimately for the end-user, if I were a patient in need of HIV medication, I can now easily apply to a program using this app as well as track the progress of the application on whether or not I meet the acceptance criteria to receive the medication.
